To get the right size please take your old pair of jeans, measure across the front with buttons done up and follow the below example: 
SIZE GUIDE:
Size 34 measures 17 inch across the front then double up which will be 34 inch
Size 36 measures 18 inch across the front then double up which will be 36 inch

CE Level 1 Versus CE Level 2 Armour Impact Ratings

Where a lot of riders can get confused is how CE ratings for Armour.

Impact armor for use in motorcycle garments must undergo its own set of tests to determine whether it is CE Level 1 or CE Level 2 certified.

CE Level 1 armor has the maximum transmitted force threshold of 35 kN as compared to CE Level 2 with a  higher level of protection in terms of impact absorption and it means the armor has been tested and verified for a maximum transmitted force below 20 kN.
